Job Skills and Qualifications:

-Follow formulas to create quality compounded medications.

 Record all compounding processes using PK software when appropriate, and hand-written documentation where necessary.

 Bring any mistakes, quality issues, formulation failures, or opportunities for improvement to the attention of the Lab Manager or PIC.

 Monitor the Laboratory environment per the specifications of company SOPs and PCAB requirements.

 Clean and maintain all equipment, floors, surfaces, utensils, and areas for drug storage to the specification of owner’s manuals and SOPs.

 Maintain all state and national requirements for licensing and keep current documentation, or copies, in the pharmacy.

 Maintain awareness of training requirements, and communicate with the Lab Manager and Senior Technician when training is due.

 Dress appropriately for professional work and safety as defined in the SOPs.

 Be proficient in the compounding of topicals, suppositories, capsules, liquids, powders, lollipops, troches, and other dosage forms that may be needed. If not proficient, the technician is responsible for seeking help and/or instruction.

 Read and Understand or receive training on all pertinent SOPs as determined by the PIC.

Qualifications:

 High School diploma or GED equivalent.

 Technician license in good standing with the state, or able to get one before any compounding/technician duties are performed.

 Compounding experience is preferred.

 National Certification (CPhT) is preferred.

 Attention to detail, processes, and accuracy in filling prescriptions is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
